I am very pleased to review “Bone Robe”, a place where you can have lunch and dinner, drink a beer paired with appetizers, take away food, buy some packed beans or polenta. It is not a trattoria, just a few tall tables with stools on the left and on the right a long counter with sweet and salted small muffins, homemade chips, fish appetizers on polenta slices…
Everything is 0 km., local and seasonal, the keyword for “good stuff”! Beers are from Italian microbrewereis, unfiltered and unpasteurized, while regular courses are prepared on the spot, based on fish and meat or on vegetables for veggies.
You can ask for a portion of cheese from raw milk, quite rare in Venice. The personnel is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and good for a tasty meal, away from the crowd.
